You can sign in using Google, Apple, or Email Magic Link. If you started with an anonymous account, go to Settings and link an account so you can access your notes on other devices.

How do I transfer notes to a new device?

What is account linking and why should I do it?

Account linking connects a sign-in method (Google, Apple, or Email) to your CraftNote account. This lets you access your notes on multiple devices, protects your data if you lose your phone or reinstall the app, and ensures your Pro subscription follows your account. If you started with an anonymous account (no sign-in), go to Settings to link an account. Without linking, your notes exist only on your current device and can be lost.

I'm getting a "credential already in use" error

Accepted Answer

This error means the sign-in method you're trying to link (Google, Apple, or Email) is already connected to a different CraftNote account. Common causes: you previously created a separate account with this sign-in method, or someone else used this email to create a CraftNote account. To resolve: if you have notes on both accounts, contact support to help merge them. If the other account is empty or unwanted, sign in to that account first, delete it, then try linking again.

Where can I find my User ID?

Your User ID is located in Settings. Scroll down to find your unique User ID displayed at the bottom. You can tap to copy it. This is useful when contacting support so we can look up your account.

How do I delete my account and data?

Accepted Answer

To remove your data and account: Anonymous users can go to Settings and select "Delete Profile", then type the confirmation word to permanently delete the account and all associated data. Signed-in users can go to Settings and select "Sign Out" to remove all local data from the device. To fully delete your cloud data, contact our support team. Important: If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it separately through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

Is my data secure and private?

Yes. Your data is stored securely using Google Cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. We do not sell your data to third parties.
